Flintworks is an investor-backed, early-stage HealthTech startup based in Australia.

Dr Tia Cummins & Pete Martin founded Flintworks in response to complex mental health care being underserved by advances in consumer product technology.

We are supported by Prof Mal Hopwood, one of world’s leading experts in PTSD, and Dr Rahul Khanna, the Director of Innovation at the Phoenix Centre, Australia’s leading PTSD Research Institute.

In true clinician-centred product development, we’ve spent 100s of hours working with clinicians & clinical administrators to synthesise 20 years of academic research into a pragmatic, clinically viable toolkit, ready to seamlessly integrate into a diverse set of workflows.

Professor Mal Hopwood
Professor Mal Hopwood

Professor Hopwood is Professor of Psychiatry with Ramsay Health Care at the University of Melbourne and Clinical Director, Professorial Psychiatry Unit at the Albert Road Clinic.

He was President of the Royal Australian and NZ College of Psychiatrists 2015-2017 & is currently President of the Asian Federation of Psychiatric Associations.

In 2022 he was awarded the RANZCP Medal of Honour and also been appointed the Chair of the Interim Mental Health and Wellbeing Committee for North East Melbourne.

Dr Rahul Khanna, MD

Dr Khanna is the Director of Innovation and Medical Governance at the Phoenix Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health, Australia’s leading PTSD research institute.

Dr Khanna additionally is a consultant psychiatrist at the psychological recovery trauma centre at Austin Health, Melbourne, where he treats veterans and first responders with PTSD.
